What does the patient see?
They are not shown your reason, the policy, or the fact that you looked up the record. These are the words the portal uses.
| State | What they see |
|---|---|
| Report released | Your report is ready to read. The list says Ready, or Updated when the report was amended and the new version is released. |
| Waiting on the usual delay | Your results are being prepared, often with the day they will appear. A referrer wait says: Your doctor sees this before it appears here. |
| Report still being written | The radiologist is still writing this report. If there is no report yet: Your scan is done. The written report is not ready yet. |
| Scan not finished | This scan is still being processed. |
| Reports switched off | Reports for this clinic are shared by your doctor. If images are released: You can view your images now. The written report is shared by your doctor. |
| Manual hold | Your clinic has held this for review. Call the clinic that scanned you if you need it sooner. |
| Blocked | For a flag, an age gate, a blocked procedure, or no matching rule: This report is not available online. Call the clinic that scanned you, or your referring doctor. The title is Your doctor has this result. |
| Images still held | They are told the images are not available online, or the day images will appear, rather than the internal reason. |
| Report withdrawn after they had opened it | This report has been withdrawn by the clinic and is being reviewed. Someone who had not opened it sees the ordinary unavailable state. |
A source that has not allowed the portal is a block. The sentence they see is the general one: the clinic is still preparing the result, and they can call. Staff see the precise reason on the study. Do not read the internal reason out to them.
Same list as View as patientIf your grant includes View as patient, that panel is this list. A held or blocked report does not include the report text.
